FAQ
What numbers do I need?
Four things: your prices, what each piece costs to make (including your time), the fees for each place you sell, and your running costs. Best estimates are fine, and you don't need tidy accounts. Your numbers are saved, so you can come back and refine them without starting again.
What goals does it support?
Before you start, you choose where you'd like your business to go in the next year: grow fast, grow steadily, keep it the size it is, or have more time, even if sales grow more slowly. Your strategy and priorities are shaped around your choice.
I'm not a numbers person. Will I manage?
Yes. You enter things the way you know them, such as a bag of clay, a stall fee or the time a piece takes, and the Reset does the sums. Zoe, an example ceramicist, goes first on every step.
And I'll be straight with you. You're a business owner. Knowing your numbers is part of keeping the work you love. It's less daunting than you think, and as with anything, the only way to get comfortable is by doing more of it. You've got this.
How long until I get my results?
1-2 hours, in 3 parts. Do them in one sitting or three. Your report is ready the moment you finish. With the 90-Day Plan, your plan arrives within two working days of our session.
Will it work for what I make?
Yes, for things made by hand, and for designs made once and sold many times, such as prints and cards. However you sell: markets, your own online shop, marketplaces or stockists.
Can I add the 90-Day Plan later?
Yes. Your report has the option at the end: A$240 until 3 Nov, then A$290. You'll get an email with your booking link and a code that turns on the plan in your Reset.
Do I have to enter everything again next time?
No. When something changes, such as a price, a new piece or a new place to sell, you update that one thing and your report recalculates.
Is my data safe?
Your numbers save on your device as you go. Sign in with your email, and they're saved to your own account as well, so you can pick up on any device. They're never sold or passed on.
I'm told when you start and finish, with a short summary, so I can support you. I only look at your full numbers if you send them to me or book the 90-Day Plan.
At the end, you can choose to add your numbers to my research into how makers are really doing, which would help everyone in the maker community. Only what you make, how long you've been in business, and your state and country go with them, never your name or your business. You can ask me to delete your numbers at any time.
How do I book my session?
Your booking link comes with your welcome email. Choose a time within 60 days of buying. If none suit, reply with a few that do, and I'll confirm the time. You can move your session once if your numbers aren't ready or life happens.
Is this accounting or tax advice?
No. It's a view of your business built for making decisions, and it explains where your accountant's figures will differ.

If you go through the Reset and feel it hasn't given you clear direction, email me within 7 days of purchase, and I'll refund you in full. For the 90-Day Plan, the same applies until our session.
